Glasgow is a city packed with art and culture. The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is one of the most popular attractions with regularly rotating exhibits. Meanwhile, the Glasgow Botanic Gardens was founded in 1817 and showcases exotic plants from all over the world.

Slightly further out of the city center, the Burrell Collection integrates art with nature, housing spectacular artwork and sculptures in a spectacular piece of architecture set against stunning woodland. Throw in some vibrant nightlife, and you have the ideal city break ahead of you.

Great UK Cities – Manchester

A poignant city in the industrial revolution, Manchester has kept much of its historic charm, with plenty of modern touches built into its infrastructure. You can start off in the uber-cool Northern Quarter, dipping in and out of independent shops and eateries, before working your way towards one of the many cultural hubs the city has to offer.

You can spot ancient Egyptian artifacts at Manchester Museum or check out the latest exhibits at the Science and Industry Museum. The city’s tram system makes getting around extremely easy.

The Roman city of Bath is a must for your bucket list. History buffs will love it here, as it’s filled with historic streets steeped in history and has the original baths that date back to 70AD still intact. On top of this, you can browse endless independent shops and boutiques, gawping up at the spectacular architecture as you go. Pulteney Bridge is a picture-perfect stop to gaze over the River Avon.

Then, if you fancy taking inspiration from our Roman ancestors, you can follow suit by taking a trip to the Therma Bath Spa and bathing in the mineral-rich, naturally warm waters.

Underrated UK Cities to Visit – Eastbourne

Too often hiding in the shadow of Brighton, Eastbourne is a brilliant spot to visit. It promises all the seaside charm you could want, with fish and chip shops, arcades, and beaches with a combination of pebbles and sand to kick back and relax on.

For a spot of culture, head to Towner Eastbourne, an award-winning art museum with exhibits by the likes of David Hockney and a cinema. The nearby South Downs National Park offers swathes of glorious countryside to explore. If you want to make the most of a sunny day, you can take on the popular Eastbourne and Beachy Head circular walk, which will have you rambling along Britain’s tallest chalk-white cliff.
